Management of satellite office attraction promotion events: Hosting business expansion fairs
■Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture
Challenges
More than 10 urban-based companies have expanded into Amakusa, but their recognition among local citizens and businesses remains low, and there is a lack of local connections and interaction.
Overview & Approach
To foster civic pride by widely raising awareness among residents about the influx of cutting-edge technology companies, we held events aimed at creating new industries and job opportunities through collaboration with local businesses.
Companies from urban areas gave presentations on their reasons and goals for expanding to Amakusa, their business activities, and post-expansion initiatives. Interactive booths were set up where attendees could experience each company’s services and technologies, creating opportunities for interaction between the companies and local residents.
Outcomes / Results
Ten expanding companies participated with presentations and experience booths.
Over 200 visitors and participants (including local residents, visitors from outside the island, and online attendees).
