Our company’s project supporting business attraction in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture, aimed at building a regional population decline countermeasure model, was featured as the top article on the social news page in the Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun issued on May 17, 2024.

The presence of regional coordinators creates collaboration between incoming companies and local businesses, helping new companies to settle in. Local companies and citizens can enjoy advanced technology and information while staying in the area. Public-private partnership projects improve citizens’ lives and enhance local government services.

Aiming to become a “Learning Island” where various local governments visit Amakusa as a leading region in solving local issues, we will continue working on building a regional revitalization model.

■Excerpt from the newspaper article

The business attraction partnership between Amakusa City and private companies is bearing fruit. The number of companies that entered the city increased approximately fourfold from 6 companies in FY2016–2020 to 25 companies by April 2024. The shift in the attraction strategy to focus mainly on IT companies proved successful. The matching of incoming companies with local firms is improving productivity and creating jobs, aiming to curb the outflow of young people.
