Mirai Inc. and Net Protections, Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shin Shibata, hereinafter “Net Protections”) signed a basic agreement on regional revitalization partnership in February 2023, and have started providing Net Protections’ BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) services to Mirai’s customers.

Mirai, which provides services related to regional revitalization including consulting for local governments and companies, and Net Protections, which offers multiple BNPL services, have begun introducing the following four post-payment services to Mirai’s customers:

– “NP Postpay” for online retailers,
– “atone”, a BtoC membership-based post-payment service usable in both physical stores and e-commerce,
– “NP Postpay air”, a post-payment service for BtoC service providers,
– “NP Kakebarai”, a post-payment service for B2B transactions.

Through this partnership, Mirai will be able to propose BNPL services in addition to its existing offerings.
Meanwhile, Net Protections will leverage Mirai’s customer base across regional Japan to expand merchants adopting BNPL services.
Introducing these BNPL services will promote digital transformation (DX) in billing and collection operations, improve user convenience as an alternative to cash payments, and contribute to enhancing productivity and adding value for regional companies and local governments.
