・Telework as a Countermeasure for Population Decline
Through the promotion of telework, we aim to mitigate population decline in rural areas by creating job opportunities for individuals with time or location constraints, ultimately realizing “vibrant and sustainable local communities.”
With the telework center “AmaSta★Farol” located in Amakusa City, a remote island municipality in western Kyushu, we launched the online outsourcing service “Farol Online” in July 2021. This initiative has built an environment where rural residents can work for urban companies, while also fostering skills through hands-on work. To date, over 60 teleworkers have been created in Amakusa alone, and more than 300 nationwide and overseas, engaging in work for urban companies and local governments.
・Toward a Sustainable Society with Local Communities
In Amakusa City, where telework promotion and business attraction have advanced hand-in-hand, we have supported the attraction of 20 urban companies over approximately three years, leading to significant job creation.
Furthermore, we are witnessing various positive changes, such as the implementation of public skill development courses by incoming companies, the establishment of a CG course at a local high school, and increased interaction between new businesses and local residents. Moving forward, we will continue our community-based initiatives, fostering connections between people to build a sustainable society in regions challenged by population decline.
